Chocolate Dipped Frozen Bananas

Ingredients

  • 2 ripe bananas
  • 1 cup dark chocolate chips
  • 1 tablespoon coconut oil
  • Toppings of choice (crushed nuts, sprinkles, etc.)

Instructions

  • Peel the bananas and cut them in half.
  • Insert a popsicle stick into the cut end of each banana half.
  • Place the bananas on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and freeze for at least 1 hour.
  • In a microwave-safe bowl, combine the chocolate chips and coconut oil. Microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring until smooth.
  • Remove the bananas from the freezer and dip them into the melted chocolate, allowing excess chocolate to drip off.
  • Before the chocolate sets, sprinkle your desired toppings on the chocolate-coated bananas.
  • Return the coated bananas to the baking sheet and freeze again until the chocolate is set, about 30 minutes.
